Artisans in Oaxaca are known for their brilliant glass making. This painting began as a macro photo of light reflected in a handcrafted turquoise glass made at the Xaquixe Studio just outside of Oaxaca City. Adjusted and then painted, the finished painting invites the viewer to enter the magic of imagination.
